Bulk-Exporting Files from Your Deployment

Site Administrators can use the bulk export feature to download all folders and documents from their deployment.

The bulk export feature processes folders and documents in batches. As soon as the batches are created, ShareBase sends an email to the administrator who started the bulk export. The email contains a link that returns a JSON response, which allows the administrator to check the status of each batch and download batches as ZIP files after they've been processed. Once all batches have been processed, ShareBase sends the administrator a second email indicating whether the bulk export was successful.

Note: The time it takes to complete processing depends on the size of your deployment.

To start the bulk export process:

  1. In ShareBase Administration, click Details (Details button).
    The Deployment Details page is displayed.
  2. Under Advanced Options, click Bulk Export.
    The Bulk Export dialog box is displayed.
  3. Click Start Bulk Export.

    The bulk export process is started. Once all batches are created, ShareBase emails you a link that allows you to do the following:

    • Track the status of each export batch.
    • Download completed ZIP files using the DownloadUrl.
    • Reprocess failed batches using the ReprocessUrl.
    • Download partially completed files using the PartialDownloadUrl. You can download partially completed files even if the export is still in progress.

    ShareBase sends a second email once all batches have been processed.
