Validating Document Integrity
ShareBase assigns a checksum value to each version of a document. Checksums can be used to verify a document has not been modified during processing.
The checksum is a hash value calculated using the SHA-1 algorithm. If you have the checksum for the original file, you can compare it with the checksum in ShareBase to ensure the document data is the same.
To find the checksum value for a ShareBase document:
- Open the document.
- In the information pane, locate the versions section.
- Click the View/add versions button. The versions pane lists all versions of the document.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to the version you want to validate.
- Locate the checksum field below the version information.
- To copy the checksum value, click the Copy checksum to clipboard button:
