Limiting ShareBase Access Using Okta

Okta is an example of an external identity provider you can use to allow or restrict user access to ShareBase. In Okta, user access can be controlled by specifying an app-based sign-on policy that allows or restricts user access to applications such as ShareBase.

To configure an app-based sign-on policy that limits ShareBase access to specific users and groups in Okta:

  1. From the Administrative Dashboard, select Applications | Applications.
  2. Click the ShareBase app.
  3. Click the Sign On tab.
  4. Within the Sign On Policy section, create a rule. For detailed information on creating a rule, see https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Security/App_Based_Signon.htm
  5. After configuring the rule and any required conditions and actions, click Save.
