SAML Configuration for ShareBase IdP
If you have an existing ShareBase deployment that uses local authentication, see Migrating from Local to External Authentication before completing the tasks in this section.
You can configure the ShareBase IdP as a SAML application with an external identity provider. To begin, you must establish a trust relationship between the ShareBase IdP and the external identity provider. In this relationship, the ShareBase IdP is the service provider (SP).
The following sections describe the SP metadata required for external identity providers to work with the ShareBase IdP. The names used for SP metadata may vary depending on the external identity provider. Refer to the documentation for the external identity provider for clarification. If you need to build your own SP metadata XML file, contact your solution provider for a template file you can use.
