External Authentication

External authentication (or federated identity) enables SSO integrations with ShareBase. With external authentication, the responsibility of authentication and user management is delegated to an external identity provider.

The ShareBase IdP supports external authentication using the Ws-Federation protocol, an example of which is Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), and the SAML protocol.
